Giant balloons

Giant balloons are nothing more than balloons brought up to their extreme. The technology involved in creating these is not much different than the regular one. The final output is nonetheless extremely impressive.

Some may wonder why would anyone need giant balloons in the first place. The answer is pretty straightforward. Kids like big toys and no matter how you look at it this is what balloons are in the end. Thus for children the situation is rather simple, adults though have to complicate everything. Just imagine a psychologist with a strong Freudian background analyzing the subject. I can only shiver. Sometimes a balloon is just a balloon.

No matter how you look at these giant balloons though one thing remains clear, they still rock. Nowadays the shift has focused from toy to advertising, most of the balloons that you will see will typically have the name of a company printed on it. Obviously giant balloons are preferred here for a totally different reason. Big balloons mean a bigger company name. I am not that sure that a balloon remains just a balloon in these circumstances.

Using giant balloons for advertising is not something new. The race for bigger and original spaces to announce stuff to customers it's a very old one. The balloons are just another pawn in this game and not the one just waiting to be promoted to queen. Nonetheless they remain a highly attractive way of delivering sales. People seem much more inclined to read something from a balloon rather than an ad. The bigger the balloon the better.

On its early days giant balloons were used to test innovative uses. The hot air balloon and the weather balloon first started probably as a sketch with a giant balloon acting as a prototype. The weather balloons in specific are nothing more than oversized helium balloons. When people start looking at things with a different approach good things are bound to happen and this is exactly what happened here.

Altogether giant balloons are here to stay. The kids will still love them and the psychologists will still see them as more than balloons. This is life I guess. No matter how you consider them though, you must recognize that they are still one hell of a sight, so let the inner child enjoy them and the adult outside make smart remarks.
